The Youth department of Council of Albacete is the municipal department that develops local youth policies.
We are starting a selection process looking for 5 European volunteers. The deadline is 15th of August 2012.
The aims are:
– To facilitate the social participation of youth in the development of the city.
– To promote the experimentation in youth as a way of non-formal learning.
– To provide quality information to young people to support the design of their courses to adulthood.
– To prevent risks associated with youth behavior.
– To make progress in the quality of programs and services for youth.

The European volunteers will support activities of the Youth Service of the City Council of Albacete. Their collaboration will be focus on tasks related to information and the dynamization of activities and spaces.

From October 2012 to April 2013

Information activities: learn how the PIJ works supporting tasks together with the youth reporter.
Cultural activities: together with the social educator, learn planning activities and collaborate with some of them: courses, talks, intercultural workshops, reading encouragement, recovery of folk games, video-forum, etc.
Sport activities, collaboration to carry out and develop sport competitions, together with the leaders. For example: canooing, badmington, tennis, swimming, table-tennis, etc.
Leisure activities, together with the socio-cultural animator, social educator and other animators hired for the occasion, activities for youth and children: summer school, summer library, trips, etc.
