Designing the Arts and Crafts MOSAIC Observatory

From October 3rd to 4th, 2023, the historic city of Bologna (Italy) hosted the second transnational meeting of the MOSAIC project. During these two days partners shared updates on almost all work packages and had brainstorming sessions to step towards the project’s goals.

In the meantime, from the 4th to the 5th of October kicked off the Designing the Arts and Crafts MOSAIC Observatory.

More than 40 participants from France, Finland, Bulgaria, Italy, Canada and Armenia gathered at Fondazione Golinelli, guided by Stupid Studio: despite its unconventional name, they organised great design thinking activities.

Participants worked in groups, sharing their perspectives, expertise, and visions to shape the future of the European Arts and Crafts Observatory.

Through the “Future Manifesto Board”, a board in which participants shared their stories of how the Observatory came into existence, they started to discuss the challenges to overcome for the Observatory brought to Arts & Crafts VET.

But what is it about? The European Arts and Crafts Observatory aims at adding value at the European and international levels, leveraging Digital Technologies, monitoring skills gaps and fueling dialogue within and beyond the arts & crafts ecosystem. It’s designed for being accessible during and after the project’s funding period ends.

After our fruitful meeting in Bologna, exciting developments will take place for the Observatory project. Soon, a detailed roadmap to steer our path ahead will be introduced.

Thanks to the MOSAIC project, an extraordinary community of individuals and organisations dedicated to enhancing vocational excellence in the Arts & Crafts sector is going to be connected and, hopefully, becoming bigger.

Don’t miss the next steps and follow us on the website or on MOSAIC social media pages (Facebook, Instagram and Linkedin).
